LJP(RV) seeks FIR against influencer for misusing Chirag

Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) sought registration of an FIR against self-styled influencer Swatantra Bhardwaj for allegedly using Union Minister Chirag Paswan’s name to falsely suggest political backing.

The party filed a complaint at Parliament Police Station on Friday, accusing Bhardwaj of publicly claiming an association with Paswan, the LJP(RV) president.

It urged police to register an FIR and formally record that Bhardwaj has no link to the party or the matter in question.

The complaint followed a viral clip in which Bhardwaj allegedly admitted to a violent attack on the father of Cockroach Janta Party activist Nishu Aazad.

In the same video, he reportedly bragged about Delhi Police refusing to act, citing his political connections.

Chirag Paswan said he was taking full responsibility for ensuring justice for Aazad’s father, who was seriously injured during protests at Jantar Mantar.

He stated that if someone claims to be a personal acquaintance based on public meetings, it constitutes misuse of their name.

Paswan added that the attacker sought to create the impression that inaction was due to him and his party.

He emphasized that the activist’s father was beaten so severely he could have died, and the attacker roams free despite bragging on TV.

Paswan affirmed his commitment to pursue the matter with Delhi police to deliver justice to the aggrieved family.

Swatantra Bhardwaj was taken into custody in Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh, on Friday.

This occurred just hours after Delhi Police allegedly assured CJP protesters that he would be arrested within 72 hours.

Police said Bhardwaj had tried to flee but was caught.

The Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) named the source of its complaint as news agency ANI.

Chirag Paswan’s statements were reported by news agency PTI.

The party called for strict action against the accused.

It stressed that the misuse of a minister’s name to gain credibility must be addressed legally.

The incident has raised concerns about false claims of political affiliation being used to evade accountability.

The LJP(RV) maintains that no such association exists with Bhardwaj.

The case is now under police investigation following the FIR request.
