India to release AI regulation consultation paper within a month
The Ministry of Electronics and IT will publish a consultation paper on AI governance within a month, focusing on safety and deepfakes while relying on existing laws and industry responsibility. The government also plans a major GPU procurement drive to build domestic AI infrastructure.
